The PS-60 slingshot is able to hit targets at incredible distances. However, like in archery several things
must be taken into acount when shooting long distances. To the left is a
video of a can being shot at 130 feet using a PS-60 slingshot. Shooting long distance targets are not easy. However,
with practice you can become proficient at it.
1) Bullet Drop- For a long distance shot you musts aim slightly above the target. The velocity of a slingshot is
slower than that of a rifle. Therefore the bullet will drop faster. It is best to have a
three range sight to correct for bullet drop.

2) Parallex error- A less expensive sight will have enough error to make you miss
your target for a long range shot. For a red dot sight try to keep the dot in the
middle of the sight. This will minmize the parallex error. A laser sight has no
parallex error.
3) Fire a cluster- Shoot a rife free hand with no rest at a can 130 feet away
is not easy. The slightest miss movement will cause the shooter to miss their target.
The gun must also have a quality rifled barrel so that the bullet will fly straight path.
Shooting a can at 130 feet with a slingshot seems impossible. The bullet is not spinning thus will not
flying a perfect straight path. The bullet from a slingshot flys slower, will fall faster and is more so effected by wind.
However, using a PS-60 with a 3 range sight or a laser , and mini shotgun pouch, makes it possible.
If the PS-60 slingshot shooter is off by 3 or 4 inches, there is a good chance the can will
still be struck because the mini shotgun pouch shoots a small tight cluster of bullets.
4) Release - The release of the pouch is critical and in most cases this is the number one cause
for a bad shot. The release need to be smooth. If you shake or jurk
on the release, this will throw the shot off. The release should be a fluid motion.
