The mini shotgun pouch will allow you to fire a small tight cluster of up to 5 bbs at a target. This provids multiple impacts to the target and is strongly recommended for long distance targets. When shooting a can that is 80 feet away, the cluster open up to 6 inches wide. If the shooter is slightly off target by 2 to 3 inches, one or more of the BBs will hit the target. Hitting a can 140 feet away with a pistol without a pistol rest very difficult. Hitting a can 140 feet away with a PS-60 slingshot would seem impossible however, with a cluster of BBs it becomes not so difficult.

There is almost no difference in velocity when shooting a single BB or 5 BBs at a time. The cost of BBs is not expensive. At walmart you can get 5,000 BBs for 6 dollars which puts the cost of a BB around 1/10 of a penny. Thus, shooting a cluster is still cheap.
The mini shotgun pouch uses 2 light weight metal studs which are stiched into the leather pouch. This keeps the BBs from rolling out of the pouch when the slingshot is fired. Shooting several BBs from a pouch without these two metal studs are some what dangerous because if a BB rolls out early while the pouch is still flying forward, the BB could go off in a tangent and hit something that it shouldn't.
